COLLAGE IN UNCERTAIN TIMES
Using Expressive Arts To Maintain Hope
A Four-Day Virtual Retreat
Saturday October 3 through Tuesday, October 6
Our retreat may not be happening in Taos this fall, but it is happening live on zoom! Same days. The only difference is that we will have a full-day schedule on the first day in lieu of beginning in the evening.
Easily adapted for this virtual platform, we will be together for the entire retreat making tissue paper collages, sharing our myth and fairy tale stories, viewing and showing our collages, meditating, and dancing. There will be ample time to relax and journal with two-hour lunch breaks and tea/stretch pauses throughout the day.
Now more than ever we need to fuel our creative vitality. We have already shifted out of our usual mindset—collectively facing the unknown—so the timing of this retreat is ideal. We will reflect on how the external changes happening around us affects our inner world, and how nourishing our inner world affects our perception of the outer world. Creating beauty through collage can be used as an antidote to the uncertainty and stress of these times, and help us integrate current life circumstances. By purposefully opening to the revelations of our inner world, we plant seeds in our own lives that blossom into greater levels of flourishing that contribute to our own health and the well-being of our communities.
